Mr. Christopher Hendree, Associate Director of Admissions for Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Michigan is here in Palau promoting the university. The Scholarship Office staff were able to attend a meeting Mr. Hendree where he shared information about the programs available to the students from Palau. GVSU is the alma matter of the President of the Republic of Palau, His Excellency Tommy E. Remengesau, Jr. As a result, there is a scholarship that was established specifically for Palauans who have earned their associate degrees from Palau Community College and are wishing to transfer to GVSU. The scholarship in combination with other federal financial aid will be enough to cover all educational expenses while at Grand Valley State University. Mr. Hendree mentioned that he will be able to waive the admission application fee which is a saving of $30.00. Students are encouraged to consider applying for admissions to GVSU. If students have questions or are interested in meeting Mr. Hendree and getting more information about GVSU, he will be at Palau Community College Assembly tomorrow (2/28/2017) at 1:00 pm.
