Palau National Scholarship Office began visiting the local high schools in preparation for the coming school year 2018-2019. Ms. Marsha Suzuki (PNS Office staff) had the opportunity to share with students from both Palau Mission Academy and Belau Modekngei School information on scholarships and other program opportunities that are available to graduating high school seniors. She advised the students on how to apply for PNSB programs and the importance of meeting deadlines. More importantly, she reminded them that Palau needs its young people to gain their college education and to return to Palau to help in the development of our island nation. She also promoted other country-sponsored scholarships especially Taiwan Scholarships that are currently available. To help encourage the Palauan high school seniors, the Scholarship Office invited ICDF Taiwan Scholarship recipient, Ms. Sachi Singeo to come along and share her college experience in Taiwan. Ms. Singeo’s experience was so inspiring and really motivated the students that many of them are now considering applying for Taiwan Scholarships. The Scholarship Office will be visiting the remaining three high schools during the month of February.
