Palau National Scholarship Board (PNSB) has reviewed all the applications that were completed by the deadline date of July 31, 2016.  Luckily for these students (about 133) who submitted their applications on time, awards are now available and PNSB began disbursing awards today just in time to meet college tuition payment deadlines.   Due to the increase in the appropriation for PNSB fund, the portion from foreign worker permit as well as foreign labor fees, Chairperson Christopher Kitalong is happy to report that this school year’s awards are reportedly the highest per student.  PNSB can fulfill the financial request of a good portion of the applicants.  In fact, PNSB has awarded a little over 1 million dollars for this fall semester and anticipates additional awarding within the next month.   Over 70 applications are pending review following the “30-day window” given to allow items that were postmarked on or before the July 31st deadline.  The Board congratulates all the eligible students and encourages them to maintain their full-time status, keep up their good grades/gpa and to always file their applications early so that they can continue receiving financial support from PNSB.  Chairperson Christopher Kitalong and the board reminds all recipients that PALAU NEEDS YOU.
